2024 Softball America Top 25 Poll: Week 4

Whether it was ranked matchups, Mid-Majors rising to the occasion or the craziness that was the Mary Nutter, the newest Top 25 was influenced by chaos.

Oklahoma continues its reign atop the throne, extending its winning streak to 67 games. Despite Texas and Georgia falling for the first time this season, the Longhorns and Bulldogs also have wins over Stanford and Virginia Tech, thus they remain No. 2 and No. 3 in the poll. Duke rallied to beat Boston, which enters our poll after an impressive display against the Blue Devils. LSU remained perfect with another walk-off win against Boise State to round out the Top 5.

Baylor and Virginia Tech make leaps in the poll. The Bears went 5-0 at the Mary Nutter with wins over Oregon, Notre Dame, UCLA – which re-enters the poll and was the lone team to beat the Bruins – and Missouri. As aforementioned, the Hokies beat Georgia and have still looked very good this season aside from a rough day in Arizona last week.
