LSU’s free fall after dropping two straight series sees Texas climb back to the second spot and Georgia to the third position after sweeps with Duke dropping a game to Louisville and needing to battle it out to win the series. The Longhorns and Bulldogs overall has been better than the Blue Devils, but Duke had given us no reason to see them drop until now.
Florida enters the Top 10 for the first time this season. The Gators appear to have turned a corner offensively versus Power Five competition after scoring in bunches against Indiana and Kentucky the past two weeks.
Penn State returns to the Top 25 after a convincing sweep of Indiana. The Nittany Lions continue to look good this season aside from a Texas trip without freshman phenom Bridget Nemeth. Northwestern enters for the first time on an eight-game winning streak. FAU nests atop the American Conference, flying high on a seven-game winning streak.
