Leah Amico named Florida Vibe head coach

The Florida Vibe has hired Leah (O’Brien) Amico as its head coach heading into the 2024 professional softball season.
Leah is a 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist (1996, 2000, 2004) for USA Softball and 2-time World Softball Champion. Leah won 3 National Championships at the University of Arizona where she was a 3-time First Team All-American, 3-time Academic All-American, and holds the Women’s College World Series Record for batting average in a single tournament, hitting .750.  Leah has been inducted into numerous Hall of Fames, including the USA National Softball Hall of Fame and the University of Arizona Softball Hall of Fame.
“The Florida Vibe organization is extremely proud to have such an icon of the game leading our professional athletes both on and off the field”, Ryan Moore, team president said.  “Leah is not just a softball icon, but a character icon and lives her life in bold fashion which fits our team chemistry very well and will give hope to all around her,” he added.
