Nebraska’s Jordy Bahl to miss rest of 2024 season

Jordy Bahl’s return home this season was unfortunately short-lived. In Nebraska’s opening day matchup against Washington, Bahl left the game after having her knee on her plant leg buckle and needing assistance off the field.

Bahl announced on her Instagram that she suffered an ACL and will be redshirting the rest of this season. That means that Bahl will have two years of eligibility remaining and will be at Nebraska through the 2026 season.

“Obviously, we are all disappointed to hear the news of Jordy’s season-ending knee injury,” Nebraska head coach Rhonda Revelle said via a school statement. “We are grateful that Jordy is in excellent care with our medical team and are confident in a full recovery. We fully expect that Jordy will be granted a hardship for this season and be back in the jersey for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.”

Nebraska still has a veteran-heavy lineup, but is a bit thinner in the circle. After Bahl’s injury, Sarah Harness and Kaylin Kinney led the team in innings during the tournament in Mexico.

This is a developing story.
